About MarriageToday

When I was a child, my parents' marriage almost ended in divorce. That's not an exaggeration. Things were desperate, and they barely escaped becoming another statistic. They had to rebuild their relationship from the ground up, but eventually found reconciliation. Today, after 35 years together, Jimmy and Karen Evans are still enjoying a fruitful, healthy marriage. If their marriage could be saved, they reasoned, anyone's could--and that's why they dedicated themselves to helping other couples learn and apply the principles that saved their own marriage.

Jimmy and Karen founded MarriageToday in 1994, believing troubled marriages could get better, and good marriages could become great. Since then, using books, seminars, and a national television program (MarriageToday with Jimmy & Karen), they've coached thousands of couples toward restoring marriages and building healthy homes.

I've seen it in their lives and I've seen it in my own marriage: Great marriages don't happen by chance. They require nurture and training. A verse per date night or even a few scattered throughout the book would have helped.
